Jimmy Skowronski
Founder and CEO
I used to be a developer, architect and Scrum Master. If I can selflessly say so, I was an excellent developer, spoke at conferences, ran a community and loved coding
Since I can remember, I've always had a deep affinity for agility and non-standard ways of leading teams and companies. This got me into many troubles, and I was fired a few times but I never gave up. Ultimately, I knew I was right, and the standard ways of "managing" were not.
When I joined McKinsey & Company, my career went upside-down as I became a consultant and Agile Coach. I spent the next few years travelling the world and helping others deliver outstanding software and embrace agility. Those years were an actual rollercoaster, but they gave me invaluable experience and opened my eyes to many problems. That realisation and experience at McKinsey, IBM and later as a freelancer led to this moment.
I started Khiliad with a dream of creating a different type of consultancy and outsourcing company. One that will stay true to agile values, good leadership and promoting those values to our clients.
But work isn't everything. I have recently discovered a true passion for motorcycling, especially off-road. The feeling of adrenaline when crossing rivers or deep mud pits, the thrill of climbing hills and rocks and the power when I control a big bike are addictive. Aside from that, I do everything and anything that gets my heart pumping and gives me a surge of adrenaline. And when things calm down, I still do nerdy things like when I was a teenager.
