Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Khiliad Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 in line with UK government targets.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

This is Khiliad's first carbon footprint report. We have not previously assessed or reported our emissions. Therefore, this year will serve as our baseline against which future reductions will be measured.

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. As a technology-focused company with remote-first operations, we are well positioned to minimise our environmental impact.

We aim to reduce our total emissions by 25% over the next five years, with a full re-evaluation planned for 2030.

  • Operating as a remote-first company to reduce commuting emissions.
  • Using cloud-based infrastructure over physical servers.
  • Implementing a digital-first workflow to minimise printing and paper use.

Planned Initiatives

  • Conduct a full greenhouse gas audit by the end of 2025.
  • Transition to green energy suppliers for any physical office space.
  • Establish a sustainable procurement policy.
  • Minimise business travel and prioritise virtual meetings.
  • Explore ISO 14001 certification for environmental management.

Governance and Reporting

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been developed in accordance with:

  • PPN 06/21 and associated guidance,
  • The GHG Reporting Protocol Corporate Standard,
  • Government greenhouse gas conversion factors.

Scope 1 and 2 emissions will be reported annually. Scope 3 emissions will be included as data becomes available.

This plan has been reviewed and approved by the board of directors at Khiliad Ltd.
