Our history
From top-tier consultancy to family-run business
We’d love to say our story is worthy of a book, but we might need a few more years for that. For now, let’s just say we've come a long way from where we began and are excited for what lies ahead.
- The Founding (2017)
- Khiliad was founded by Jimmy in December 2017, driven by his experience and frustrations with large consultancy firms. He envisioned Khiliad as a different kind of consultancy, one committed to true agility and what it stands for.
- One-Man Band (2017-2021)
- For the first few years, Jimmy operated as a freelance Agile Coach, collaborating with major companies like WorldPay, Vodafone, BP, Adidas, and Uniper. During this time, he shaped the vision of what a dream software consultancy could become.
- Family Business (2021)
- In 2021, Naz left a successful legal career with the Government Legal Department and joined Khiliad as Chief Operating Officer, transforming it into a family-run business.
- Our First Team (2022)
- By mid-2022, Khiliad assembled its first development team to assist Uniper in delivering a significant digital transformation programme, COODE. With a team of six developers, we successfully completed several projects, some of which you can explore in our case studies.
- Our Second Team (2023)
- In 2023, Khiliad embarked on another major project with Uniper. This time, we delivered an independent product outside of a larger programme, marking our biggest project to date.
- Naz Assumes CEO Role (2024)
- In September 2024, Naz took over as CEO, overseeing the company's overall management. This shift allowed Jimmy to step into the role of CTO, focusing on technology and project delivery.
